Former Lamar CISD Student Headed to the NFL

Former Lamar CISD graduate, Cedarian “CeeDee” Lamb has achieved his NFL goal. CeeDee will return to Texas after being drafted 17th overall by the Dallas Cowboys.

Due to COVID-19, the draft was conducted virtually for the first time in history. Players anxiously awaited the phone calls while surrounded with those closest to them.

During Lamb’s high school career at Lamar CISD’s Foster High School, he led the Falcons to the state semi-finals in 2016 with a record 14-1 season. Lamb tied for the second-most touchdowns in state history and fourth-most passes in state history.

Following high school, Lamb played for University of Oklahoma. Lamb was named All-American and a finalist for the Earl Cambell Tyler Rose and the Biletnikoff Awards. At 6’2” and 198 lbs,  Lamb dominated the Big 12 finishing top five in the country with 14 receiving touchdowns.
