George Ranch High Art Students Advance to RODEOHOUSTON

Three George Ranch High Art Students will be featured at the Hayloft Gallery at the Houston Rodeo! Catherine Law’s, “Amigo Trio,” and Katherine Le's, "Tough n' Tender," each received “High School Special Merit” for their art. Jessica Morcilla’s art work, “Ode to Boundless Departure,” earned “High School 2D Best of Show.” These students are now under consideration for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Art Auction as well as other various prizes and awards.

Rodeo Houston began the School Art Program more than 50 years ago to “challenge students to think outside of the box.” Since then, the program has continued to “support 142 different school districts, including private and parochial schools, in the Houston area.” The School Art Program offers students the opportunities to win scholarships, travel and have their artwork displayed for recognition. Amazing work, George Ranch High School!
