Summer Lakes & Summer Park Residents Enjoy Halloween Movie Night

Platonic Park was the site of our Halloween Movie Night, held on Saturday, October 20, for residents of Summer Lakes and Summer Park. The community-wide event featured the critically acclaimed Disney/Pixar film Coco, which is inspired by Día de los Muertos (“Day of the Dead”). Prior to the screening, kids enjoyed various lawn games and activities, and were invited to participate in a Halloween costume parade. As the sun was setting, residents illuminated Platonic Park with colored glow sticks. This year, there were a variety of creative ideas, including “Mario” from the popular Super Mario Bros. franchise, “Princess Leia” from Star Wars, a trio of characters from The Incredibles, as well as a homemade CAT® forklift! Attendees got a head start on the Halloween sugar rush by enjoying free candy; fresh popcorn was served on site. Special thanks to Summer Lakes builder D.R. Horton for donating a beautiful gift basket, which was awarded to the Ramirez family! View all of the Movie Night photos here.
